Small Molecule Spectral Analysis
Introduction to Small Molecule Structure Verification and Elucidation
Topics:
- Introduction to small molecule structure verification and elucidation
Remarks:
The course offers an introduction to the manual and computer assisted strategies for structure verification and elucidation of small molecules. The methods are illustrated by practical exercises on pre-recorded spectra. The structure of one unknown compound will be determined and the structure of a number of other compounds will be verified. The selection of appropriate NMR experiments for these analysis tasks is discussed in this course, the acquisition and processing details for these types of NMR experiments, however, are covered in the Avance 1D/2D course.
Prerequisite Qualification:
Open to all AVANCE spectrometer users.
