NMR Optimization
Advanced optimization of NMR-spectrometers
This 1 day course is designed to for advanced NMR users to optimization instrumentation parameters and settings for high-throughput screening applications. Applications include metabolomics, library screening, extract screening and raw material screening. The attendee will learn instrument parameter optimization needed to obtain the high quality data essential for reliable data and key theoretical discussions on how the settings affect the spectrum. Topics include the optimization of configuration specific parameters of the instrument, temperature, parameters for automation, and IconNMR configuration. Attendance of a related 1 day course, Assure RMS, which covers the Assure Raw Material Screening software package, is recommended.
Topics:
- Spectrometer
- Temperature optimization
- Instrument specific timings, delays, and determining operating ranges
- Lock optimization
- O1 optimization
- AU programming and PARAMETER optimization
- Automation strategy and design
- Solutions
- 1D - NOESY (noesy1dgppr, noesyig1d, noesy1d), CPMG
- 2D – JRES, HSQC
Prerequisite:
This course will assume NMR, TopSpin and IconNMR knowledge. Attendance at Avance II - Liquids or the equivalent is required.
