NMR for biological molecules
This 1 day course covers the set up and processing of experiments commonly used for structure determination of biological macromolecules. Discussions include spectrometer configurations, the calibration of pulses, parameter optimization, and acquisition of 3D experiments. Data processing of 3D data, including linear prediction, phase corrections, strip transforms, and baseline corrections will also be covered in this course.
Experiments:
- 2D Homo- and Heteronuclear Correlation Experiments (COSY, NOESY, 1H-15N HSQC, relaxation experiments)
- 3D Experiments (NOESY-HSQC, TOCSY-HSQC and many triple resonance experiments HNCO, HNCACB, CBCA(CO)NH etc.)
Prerequisite:
This course will presume extensive experience with the spectrometer, an advanced knowledge of FT-NMR and multipulse, multidimensional techniques or attendance at the courses AVANCE - Liquids or NMR.2D.
