More detailed Introduction to System Operation / Advanced NMR Methods

Topics:

Acquisition, processing and plotting of 1D and 2D NMR spectra.
How to optimize parameters for acquisition and processing.
Sophisticated use of TopSpin, the Plot-Editor and NMR Guide.
Pulse programs for advanced 1D and 2D experiments, AU programs and macros.
Basic spectrometer hardware information.

Remarks:

This course offers a more detailed view of the operation of AVANCE spectrometers and the TopSpin program. The course is designed for customers who have already experience in the use of AVANCE spectrometers, or as a follow up to the preceeding AVANCE course for beginners. Practical sessions will cover typical routine operations, but looking into the subject in a more detailed view, and more advanced experiments. It covers: pulse determination (1H and several X nucleii), advanced 1D-NMR experiments like water suppression and T1 determination, homonuclear 2D-NMR spinlock experiments like TOCSY and ROESY, heteronuclear 2D experiments like HSQC, HMQC, and HMBC with comparison of different versions, the use of pulsed field gradients and adiabatic pulses, gradient shimming.

Prerequisite Qualification:

For experienced users of AVANCE spectrometers. The knowledge covered by the preceeding AVANCE Course is required.
