AVANCE II
Advanced Operation of AVANCE Spectrometers
This 3 day course covers experiments and techniques such as gradient spectroscopy, selective excitation, and solvent suppression. The generation of various shaped pulses and frequency encoded pulses will be discussed. The calibration and use of pulsed field gradients are covered to the extent required for the gradient experiments presented in the course. Advanced processing techniques such as linear prediction, 3D processing, solvent suppression data processing, and time domain deconvolution are included.
Experiments:
- Pulse field gradient experiments (Gradient COSY, Gradient HMQC, etc.)
- Creation of shaped pulses using SHAPETOOL and calibration of shaped pulses
- Selective excitation experiments (1D-COSY, 1D-TOCSY, etc.)
- Selective excitation gradient experiments (GOESY, TOCSY experiments)
- Region selective experiments (HMBC)
- Presaturation, Watergate (1D, NOESY), WET
Prerequisite:
This course will presume experience with the spectrometer, an advanced knowledge of FT-NMR and Multipulse-, Multidimensional techniques or attendance at the courses AVANCE I - Liquids or NMR.2D.
