Laser Triggered Experiments

An external event, e.g. a laser flash, can be used to generate a paramagnetic state. For this type of experiment the instrument can be triggered externally or alternatively the instrument can send a trigger pulse to activate an external device. Precise synchronization between the external event, the microwave pulses and the data acquisition is established. Any pulse-EPR experiment can be run in combination with the external trigger function.

Laser Triggered Experiments
ESE detected field sweep spectrum of an S = 1 spin state. The spectrum was recorded with a time delay after the laser flash. The emissive and absorptive line shape character is indicative for the triplet state.
