High-Resolution MRI in the Macaque Brain
These data were acquired using a BioSpec® 70/60V.
Using implanted coils, MR images with spatial 3D resoliution of 50 x 50 x 1000 µm3 can be obtained in the visual cortex.
Top: The MR images are compared to two stained histological slices .
Bottom: Structures (Gennari-, Bechterew-, and Baillager-lines) in the V1/V2 border region. To the very right, there again is a myelin stained histo slice for comparison.
