Bruker's EPR Firsts
Our history includes milestones such as:
1967
- EPR spectrometers were added to the product line.
1972
- Development of computer systems optimized for analytical applications.
1975
- CW-ENDOR spectrometer introduced.
1980
- Introduction of computerisised field regulation and high temperature cavity.
1987
- Bruker BioSpin introduced the first commercial FT-EPR spectrometer.
1989
- Bruker BioSpin introduced the first fully computer controlled EPR instrument.
1992
- Bruker BioSpin introduced the first persistent 750 MHz NMR spectrometer and a table top EPR spectrometer for dosimetry.
1993
- Bruker BioSpin introduced the first commercial pulsed ENDOR spectrometer.
1994
- An inexpensive PC controlled EPR spectrometer, the EMX was introduced.
1995
- Bruker BioSpin introduced the first commercial high frequency (95 GHz) CW and pulsed EPR spectrometers.
1996
- Introduction of Bruker BioSpin EPR onto the network with the eleXsys instrument line.
The list of "firsts" not only shows the amazing speed of development of analytical instruments over the past years. It also reflects the dynamic impetus, the technical excellence and the fundamental scientific orientation of the people responsible for these achievements at Bruker BioSpin. It is this combination of qualities that has put us into a leading position in so many analytical fields; and it is above all a third characteristic, the common scientific interest, which provides an ideal basis for communication with our customers.
