Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR)

Products and Solutions

Bruker BioSpin’s EPR division is a world-leading supplier of electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectrometer systems.  EPR, also referred to as Electron Spin Resonance (ESR), is the only method to directly detect paramagnetic species.
EPR applications span a wide range of areas from quality control to molecular research in fields such as material research, structural biology, and quantum physics.  EPR experiments have provided invaluable information pertaining to metalloprotein structures and to the structures and processes in photosynthesis.

Bruker BioSpin’s three EPR product lines ELEXSYS, EMXplus/micro, and the e-scan are offered to directly provide answers for every EPR application field.

CW:

7th - 9th March, 2012

FT / W-Band:

14th -16th, 2012

In both courses we teach the basics of the techniques and have three afternoons of hands on training. Our application specialists will show you the most important experiments and guide you through the experiment set-up and the data analysis.

Attending the course gives you more confidence in your daily work and provides you the chance to interact with other Bruker EPR users.

The registration dead line is 31. January 2012.

Delivery of the 1000th ER 073 EPR 10 inch magnet

The ER 073 10 inch magnet is a very universal magnet and has served our EPR product line for many years. This type of magnet was in use as early as the ER 200 series. Later on it became part of the ESP series; afterwards is accompanied the EMX and today it is available for the EMX micro, EMX plus and the ELEXSYS series. The high homogeneity of 10 mG, maximum field strength of up to 17.5 kG and convenient air-gap of 72 mm have convinced 1000 customers to choose this magnet. Combined with the 2.7 kW or the 12 kW power supplies a truly universal and high performance magnet system for EPR is formed.

The 1000th magnet of this type is currently in end test and will be delivered soon together with an EMX plus to a customer in Japan.

SpinFit dialog for species input and fitting control

Spin Counting meets Spin Trap - SpinFit, the new spin trapping program
Precise quantification of spin trapping data is now available thanks to the combination of the spin counting and SpinFit modules. SpinFit enables the disentanglement and quantification of spin adducts by fitting input parameters from the database to the experimental spectrum.
