Avance™ II: The Next Generation Digital NMR Platform

The Avance II was introduced at this year's Pittsburgh conference and features 2nd Generation Digital Receiver (2G-DR) technology which reaches new heights in sensitivity and detection fidelity, vastly enhancing bandwidth for digital filters and DQD. In terms of chemical and biological applications, researchers using the Avance II will benefit from significant performance increases in many areas of NMR spectroscopy and imaging:

  • in flow-NMR, LC-NMR, and synthetic polymer analysis applications;
  • in solid-state wide-line NMR, paramagnetic proteins research, liquid crystals, ultra-fast MR imaging experiments, as well as 13C and 19F spectroscopy at high fields;
  • and particularly when using a CryoProbe™, where maximum dynamic range of the receiver system is typically essential.

New 850 MHz Actively-Shielded Ultra-High Field Magnet

Ultra-high field NMR systems are essential for protein structure determination as well as for advanced NMR applications in metabonomics and materials research. The new 850 MHz US² standard bore magnet allows structural biology and solid-state NMR researchers to obtain exceptional ultra-high field NMR capabilities on the cutting edge of Bruker's top-of-the-line 900 US² magnet, but with the advantage of a significantly reduced magnetic stray field allowing for easy siting.

New CryoProbes™; Increased Sensitivity with CryoProbes

At this year's ENC in Providence Bruker introduced multiple new CryoProbes:

  • the unique QNP CryoProbe for 31P, 13C, 15N, and 1H observe at 500 MHz,
  • the new SEF 19F, 1H CryoProbe, available at 500 & 600 MHz
  • the new DCH 1H/13C CryoProbe, for 400 MHz to 700 MHz
  • the new Microimaging CryoProbe
  • vastly increased sensitivity for the new TCI 1H/13C/15N CryoProbes, now available also at 400 MHz!
