Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR)
Products and Solutions
Bruker BioSpin’s EPR division is a world-leading supplier of electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectrometer systems. EPR, also referred to as Electron Spin Resonance (ESR), is the only method to directly detect paramagnetic species.
EPR applications span a wide range of areas from quality control to molecular research in fields such as material research, structural biology, and quantum physics. EPR experiments have provided invaluable information pertaining to metalloprotein structures and to the structures and processes in photosynthesis.
Bruker BioSpin’s three EPR product lines ELEXSYS, EMXplus/micro, and the e-scan are offered to directly provide answers for every EPR application field.
EPR Meeting at the Rocky Mountain Conference on Analytical Chemistry
Bruker BioSpin will host an EPR meeting on the Sunday prior to the Rocky Mountain Conference at 6:30 pm, followed by a mixer. If you are planning to be in Colorado on August 1st, we hope you will join us.
For the widest ever range of research applications - ELEXSYS II series
Continuous technical innovation over the years has culminated in unprecedented flexibility for the new ELEXSYS II series. Principal components have been redesigned to meet and exceed the demands of the EPR community's emerging applications.
Spin Counting meets Spin Trap - SpinFit, the new spin trapping program
Precise quantification of spin trapping data is now available thanks to the combination of the spin counting and SpinFit modules. SpinFit enables the disentanglement and quantification of spin adducts by fitting input parameters from the database to the experimental spectrum.
Highest Frequency Commercial EPR - The World's First 263 GHz Spectrometer now installed
The installation of the ELEXSYS E780 system has been finalized at the Helmholtz-Zentrum for Solar Energy and Photovoltaic Research in Berlin. The unique new quasi-optical microwave system represents a significant milestone for both Bruker and the EPR community.
W-Band 400 mW High Power Upgrade
In response to the increased performance demands at W-band, Bruker BioSpin introduces the next level High Power Upgrade for the W-Band bridge. Many pulse EPR experiments benefit from the 90o pulse lengths of 16 ns now available, such as the 4-pulse DEER experiment.
Spin Counting in one-step, reference-free
Bruker BioSpin's new Xenon module, called Spin Counting, is revolutionizing quantitative EPR. The precise number of spins or the spin concentration is reliably obtained with a single EPR/ESR acquisition and without the need for a reference sample.
The Xenon software option is Bruker's new and ultimate EPR graphical user interface. It brings data acquisition and processing to the next level, combining unparalleled ease-of-use with on-demand-flexibility.
Stochastic ENDOR: Enhanced ENDOR Spectroscopy
Two common artifacts present in pulse ENDOR spectra, baseline distortion and asymmetric intensities, can be eliminated via the stochastic excitation mode ...
SuperS-FT: Pulsed EPR at S-Band
The Bruker IF concept is utilized yet again to provide Pulsed and CW-EPR performance at another important microwave frequency band, S-Band. ESEEM and HYSCORE are among the major applications of S-Band pulsed EPR ...
