CryoProbe Applications
Polymers
The Polymer CryoProbe is specifically designed to revolutionize polymer NMR analysis. By offering up to a 4 fold increase in sensitivity and a z-gradient this probe promises to reveal information on polymer structure that elutes the technology currently employed in most laboratories. Sized to accept 10mm samples and with an extended temperature range this probe incorporates specific features of importance to polymer researchers. With a temperature range of 0° to 135°C the use of high temperature NMR to increase molecular motion and provide narrow linewidths is achievable. Although configured optimally for 13C observation the dual configuration allows for excellent 1H observation as well. Being equipped with a z-gradient this probe is prepared to use pulse field gradient experiments to provide detection of 2D and 3D NMR cross peaks from minor structural components in organic polymers all with remarkable sensitivity or speed.
Uses of this probe include:
- Polymer chain structure analysis
- Competitive polymer product analysis
- Additive identification and quantification
- Compositional analysis of polymer formulations
- Branching and unsaturation content analysis
- Sequence distribution and tacticity analysis
- Kinetics and thermal dynamics analysis
